"Honey, what would you like for breakfast?"
"I want pancakes with syrup and egg."
"..."
"And I want salt and pepper on the egg."

Big J's potluck luncheon -1
Big J's potluck is tomorrow, so I decided to make Korean-style skewered pork.
I bought this huge piece of boneless pork loin from Costco.

I cut the meat into strips..

and skewered it on a stick.

I cut the rest into medallion and pounded & seasoned with salt, pepper & pureed onion for pork tonkasu.

August 9, 2007 - Dinner for Lil' J...Japchae noodle with rice & cucumbers
What I made for lil' J...I used teriyaki chicken pieces with some left-over veggies (onion, green pepper & carrot) and cellophane noodles. I just stir-fried everything with soy sauce mixture I made (I boiled soy sauce, sugar, water, mirin, sake, and apple & lemon slices. I saw this in a korean website...they call this "mat-gan-jang" and you can use it for anything that you need both soy sauce & sugar.)

Hmm...
And this is what she ate...
Hmm...
August 11, 2007 - Saturday lunch time
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon and I didn't know what to eat and cook for cutie..
This is what I found...one of my favorite ramen from regular grocery store. The noodle is not as good as Korean brand, but it's not bad.

Surprisingly, this one does not contain MSG and made from enriched whole wheat. Problem? Too much sodium. I thought about substituting soup base with chicken base from Whole foods, but that also has high sodium content. I just added less soup base. This is for cutie.
And this is for me! Korean instant noodle similar to bi-bim-gook-soo.
Slurping away.
I added chopped up cucumber, spring mix & left-over taco meat.

Working hard at work...
It's been a crazy week...I haven't been feeling well for past few days.
I'm trying to catch up with my work and my school stuff...
I need to give myself a deadline...
